riding high and mighty

March 27th, 2007

tank-boythis is more like it. here's our young man yoshi riding high and proud on top of an israeli tank.

he looks very manley up there on top of all that steel.

we have no idea where in the country he is. it's better for security that he does not disclose that.

the amazing thing to me is that this photo (and a number of others from him) were taken on his cell phone!

we just spoke to him and all is well. he has sent some other pics as well, but i have just not had any time to deal with them yet with all the extra stuff we have been doing trying to deal with the new house (getting it ready to move into) and the old house (getting it ready to sell) too.

is this lebanon or syria?

lebanon or syria?

ashley sent me this cell phone image that yoshi had sent her from israel near his new base up in the north of the country, but neither myself nor ashley knew for certain if these tanks were facing lebanon or syria.

perhaps yoshi might want to enlighten us with his wisdom?

he is back in place there in israel until september. hopefully september will come quickly with no outbreak of hostilities in the area.

i know that ruthie, myself his family and ashley can't wait for september to rush up upon us so he can be back here safe and sound. hey, it's only 6 months away!

jon, josh and david

while josh was home for 3 weeks we went outside one day and took some fun photos (yes, i am way behind in my image processing duties, but doing 1 handed photoshop edits are slow). this photo was cool and jon did this editing job in photoshop on it.

short handy update

March 19th, 2007

just a quick update on my shoulder and hand from "the fall".

went to the shoulder doc a few days ago and he said it was healing just fine. am going to physical therapy 2-3 times a week now and am healing. can turn doorknobs and fun things like that now.

actually went into the office for 1 day last week and hope to get there 2 days this week.

2 for the price of 1

amy & davidashley & yoshi

a funny thing happened this past week. we found out that our two oldest boys actually had girlfriends!

this was a pleasant surprise in itself, as both of them have been pretty closed mouthed when it came to females in the past. sorta like "hey josh, are you dating anyone?" and he might say "i'm doing just fine in that area" without really giving us much of a real answer. david was no better.

the real pleasant thing is that they both seem to have found real down-to-earth, smart, beautiful women to date.

that's david with amy and that's ashley with yoshi.

here’s the new house

our new home

here's a photo of our new house in richardson, tx.

we closed this past tuesday (3/13/07) and have only put a few things over there yet. we have been concentrating on the fun stuff like getting all the utilities turned on.

i am at the new house right now waiting for the cable guy to come install tv and cable internet. turns out we are in a location that dsl does not service so i hope that cable is fast enough. we ordered the 7mb speed. i was able to get hooked up via dial-up with my at&t account and am using that now to work on web design for work. you never realize how slow dial-up is until you have to sit down and fiddle with it for a while.

i guess it is good to do every once in a while to see how your sites load this way. we get spoiled working with the broadband and faster speeds.

went to the doc for my shoulder yesterday and he said i am healing from the fall and damage to my shoulder just fine. all is as it should be. i have also started physical therapy for my hand.
